Another busy week ...

It has been another busy week .. And expect to run around the next whole month! We are getting our keys for our first nest on 10th Nov 09!! A big birthday present for me. But i can expect a busy day on my birthday 11/11!! Well i hope things get settled asap so we can move in soon after getting our keys to enjoy christmas month and not forgetting our baby 2nd birthday!

Monday night something happened! While going back home from daddy's office, hubby lorry broke down in the middle of expressway! It was a horrible experience to carry Isaiah standing at the shoulder on the busy traffic at 10.30pm!
The lorry can't even start so we got to tow it to the nearest carpark .. Waited there while my bro try to find a tow truck. We are at a dark carpark behind KKH and there is not much lights around .. Of course we can't avoid those mozzie bites .. Walked to Shell petrol station to find a toilet and walked back which is quite a distance .. Finally tow truck came at 12+am .. Three of us are tired, sweaty and sticky! Luckily we are able to get a cab soon after tow truck left ..
Reached home and quickly search for my IC which i realised is missing from my wallet in the afternoon. Finally found it under my shoe cabinet! How clever is Isaiah to throw it inside .. Prepare some documents for Tuesday first appointment at HDB .. Was very stressed up as there is alot of last min preparation and time is rather late .. We finally settled in the bed at 2am after taking turns to bath! Hubby got to wake up at 6am to go to work and bro came to fetch him to office ..
I woke up at 7.30am and prepare the things needed for the day and double checked the documents. Made milk for baby and woke him up and he gave me a irritated look. I guess he is as tired as us after last night incident. Quickly changed him and pop him in my sling and went out .
Throughout the journey in MRT to TPY, isaiah slept all the way. Met up with my agent Jason and chat a little .. Our first appointment is at 9.15am and hubby reached at about 9.40am!! He went to fetch the workers to work and back to office to discuss work with my dad thus he was late ..
Finally settled everything at 10.30am .. Went to ya kun to have my quick breakfast as i'm very hungry .. Drove off to bugis to fetch the workers back to office and we slacked there while hubby talk to my dad regarding work again .. Hubby wanted to go back to Marina bay to work but bro asked him to wait around in case his lorry is done .. So we waited and waited .. Till 3pm we went to get eat our lunch and bought some fishes that hubby always wanted.
Wanted to go back home but dad called hubby again to go to Tampines to get something back to office but before we can rgo back to office, workers called and asked hubby to fetch them back at orchard ..
Imagine the whole day driving around and Isaiah dozed off a few times throughout the journey. It was rather boring for me .. But we are used to it already! Regret now bringing my laptop along so i can surf the net while hubby drove around ..
Had our dinner at Geylang and went to Bukit merah to get pancake that i'm craving for and head back home .. A very tiring day for us ..

Yesterday stayed home all day.. Went over my mom place at about 8pm as one mummy wanted to come and pick up the stroller but i didn't manage to reach there and my mom brought it down .. Walked to uncle shop and chat abit while waiting for hubby to come .. Had our dinner at ABC market .. I ordered fries and went back to get it and that china woman replied me in a very rude way that fries is not ready! So i went back to my seat and decide not to walk back to take since i yet pay her.. hahaha ..

This whole month will be a busy month for me .. Now i start to worried about out renovation .. Although we have found a ID but i still wish we can look around and cut down some things that we can choose not to do but but but .. What else we can cut down!! We are just doing the flooring, kitchen cabinet, L box, painting and rewiring .. Sigh .. Is simple enough and yet it add up to about 13k in total .. Painting and rewiring we will do it ourselves but flooring cost about 6k including hacking. Kitchen cabinet cost $1.5k and soild top cost about 1.3k. Now i'm thinking to do postform top instead but my worries is it will not last for even 5-10 years with cooking and sink on it .. Furniture wise is still alright as we are using 95% of it .. But some misc items can easily add up to 2k. With sink, basin, and lots more to buy ..
So this month we will be busy running around to get sink etc to give contractor the measurement .. Not forgetting packing got to start real soon before i get really busy .. We only have 1 month to renovation, paint, clean the house and move! Hubby is very busy recently and normally by the time he finish work the shop has closed but i hate to go n seek the stuff alone .. I don't like planning the stuff which item to buy, what size is good etc .. It takes alot of serious thinking whether is practical before buying and i think hubby does this better than me .. I really hate going to shop for taps and sink .. So much choices and i always tell my hubby "anything anything" whenever he choose one i will say "too big/too small/too ex" So i rather stayed home and choose himself.
I still remember when we got married we quarrel because of what curtain to choose for 3 whole days! His thinking and mine is different and shopping for stuff can easily overshot our budget and we are not those who brings a notepad and a calculator around .. I guess we should learn to have this habit from today onwards!

Hope this month can pass fast and smoothly and we are able to move in time ..
